Day 12 & 13

Happy Anniversary my love! 6 years ago today I married my best friend! I can't believe all thats happened in such a short period of time!

Lance woke up early because the night before he discovered the trailer had a flat tire. Lance and George changed the flat with the spare and brought the flat tire to try to get it fixed but were unable too so had to buy a new one. In the mean time, the kids had a ball playing in the swimming pool at the hotel and I got to do some laundry.

We said our goodbyes to Becky, Izabella, and Wes at In-N-Out Burger. Lance and I got to drive by ourselves in the Yukon while George and Renee took the motor home with the kids. A nice relaxing day for our anniversary. We headed up through Utah to Salt Lake City. We were going to try to make it all the way up to Brigham City but decided against it because we got a pretty late start. We called the KOA in Brigham City and were about to complete our reservations but they didn't have a military discount so that was another reason why we didn't want to go all that way. (another hour)

We called the KOA in Salt Lake City, who were much friendlier anyway, and we sent George and Renee on their way, this way the kids got to do some swimming and playing before bed time.

We were listening to XM radio and at about 7 o'clock our wedding song came on the radio. Pretty much making it EXACTLY the time we had our first dance at our wedding. When You Say Nothing at All, by Alison Krauss, although we danced to the original version by Keith Whitley. God is good! Especially because Lance was beginning to get stressed about a few things. We just had to look at each other and laugh! Lance and I had a wonderful dinner date at The Melting Pot. Oh so yummy and oh so filling!

We got to the KOA at about 10 o'clock thinking we would have too sneak into the motor home to go to sleep, but both the kids were still awake! George and Renee were still running around with them trying to tire them out. Once we got them inside, they pretty much went right to sleep.

We woke up, got ready, had Denny's for breakfast and hit the road again. A beautiful drive to Jackson, Wyoming. Idaho was very scenic, the license plates don't lie! Then we got into Wyoming and snaked along the Snake River through the Teton Pass.

We got to Jackson, Wyoming and met up with an old friend of George's who took us out to dinner at Bubba's BBQ. Another delicious dinner and another reason why I've probably gained 10 pounds these last two weeks!

We left the BBQ and headed to Patrick and JC's condo/house in Jackson Hole, Wyoming where we got to plug in for the night. We were starting to get everything settled when George and Lance decided we should run up the road to Anne Smith's (Patrick's ex wife) house to get our camera so we wouldn't have to worry about it the next morning. So, dressed all in our PJ's we went over to meet Anne and her two dogs to pick up our package. Her house was awesome, the kids just loved it because she had pictures everywhere of wild animals from Africa, a passion of hers. She said she goes there several times a year!

Back at Patrick and JC's, we parked in the driveway and plugged in for the night, luckily papa had just gotten a electric heater for us so we were warm and content with out first night with Sitka weather.
